To those of you who follow this blog i have written before about buildings collapsing in Nigeria. They are many incidents of these and i have blogged about them. Now here is the latest one where 7 people have died in Lagos as the building collapses.

It just makes me think that at least Zimbabwe isnt that bad after all. I know its hard to look at the posetive but come on guys we dont get four storey buildings collapsing in the city.

The main cause of these buildings collapsing is because there is so much corruption and anyone can virtually put up a building anywhere as long as they have money to bribe their way in Nigeria. I am not talking about little cottages in the backyard. These are multi storey building they build in city centres. Surely Harare City isnt like that. Put it this way just imagine an illegal 4 storey being built in the Avenues. I hope you get the gists of what i am on about.

Its not just their buildings that collapse, Nigeria also has one of the world’s worst record of plane crashes especially the domestic ones. They keep going down. Not trying to promote Air Zimbabwe but the fact is it has an accident free record. Last reported accident was late 70s during the war when “air rhodesia” was taken down. Not bad is it. I just hope Air Zimbabwe continue prioritising the safety of passenger.

I have no doubt the ones that ply the international route are all up to standard apart from onboard entertainment but hmmm cant say that for the domestic ones. They have resorted to using Chineese plans on domestic routes so we will have to wait and see how safe those are.

So why am i rumbling on about all this. So that at least we stop moaning all the time about Zimbabwe.

To the man please treat your ladies today. Dont just ignore it like typical Zimbo man do (dont bite me its the truth)
